Synthetic Energy Corporation
Synthetic Energy Corporation is owned and managed by John A. Masek, a 50-year veteran of the oil business and creator of the EORTech methodology. Synthetic is a well-established C corporation that has invested millions of dollars and more than 15 years in the development of advanced oil recovery technology. It is a certified oil field operator bonded in the state of Texas and has the exclusive rights to use and license the proprietary EORTech process.
Synthetic's current project engaging the patented EORTech process is underway at the Charco Rendondo oil field in Zapata County, Texas — a reserve containing approximately 23 million barrels. The company has full ownership of both the oil field and the associated $12 million plant, which was operational and in production for 14 months of 2007 and 2008.
The existing basic facility at Charco Redondo is capable of taking crude production to full field level upon completing the final drilling phase. Because of Mr. Masek’s hands-on experience developing EORTech, he has cultivated a broad, practical knowledge of the mining, drilling and heat generation regimes necessary to complete this project.
Synthetic has a crew of local men trained to mine, drill and operate, and employs a superintendent who is a credentialed MSHA trainer with more than 40 years of mining and drilling experience.
